Systems now offline - Access Copyright’s business-systems upgrade in progress

Wednesday, December 17, 2025

The upgrade of Access Copyright’s business systems is now underway. While this work is talking place, the following platforms will be offline:

  • Creator Portal
  • Publisher Portal
  • Creator Affiliation Form
  • Title Search and Permissions Tool (including the transactional-licensing portal)

The upgrade is expected to be completed on Monday, January 5, 2026.

During the upgrade

While the upgrade is taking place, Access Copyright staff will be able to assist with any questions you may have until our offices close for the holidays on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at 12 noon EST, and when they reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. EST. Please contact us during these times at info@accesscopyright.ca for general inquiries or at permissions@accesscopyright.ca if you were wishing to search our repertoire of published works.

What you need to do once the upgrade is completed

Once the upgrade is finished on Monday, January 5, 2026, we will contact our affiliates and licensees by email. All platforms affected by the upgrade will then be online again and all account data in all platforms, save for any pending permission requests in the transactional-licensing portal, will have transferred during the upgrade.

While each platform will look slightly different after the upgrade has been completed, they will include all the functionality that you are accustomed to.

At that time, there will be two things to keep in mind:

  • You will need to set a new password the first time you log in to any of the updated platforms after the systems upgrade. You will be able to do so by logging in with your username and then selecting the Forget Password option.
  • If you have bookmarked the web address of any of the platforms affected by the upgrade, you may wish to create a new bookmark as the URLs for all of the affected platforms will change after the upgrade is completed.

If you have any questions about the upcoming systems upgrade, we’re here to help. Please contact us anytime at info@accesscopyright.ca.

Many thanks,
The Access Copyright team
