Payback for Writers and Payback for Visual Artists
To submit or update your Payback claim, please login to our Creator Portal here.
If this will be your first time logging in to the Creator Portal in 2026, you will need to first set a new password for your account by selecting the Forgot your password option and following the prompts.
If you are unsure what your username is, please select the Forgot your username option. Our Royalty and Client Services team is also here to help at affiliates@accesscopyright.ca.
Important details about the 2026 Payback claim period
All creators affiliated with Access Copyright as of December 31, 2025 are eligible for the 2026 Payback payment which will be distributed at the end of November.
From April 1 to May 31, you are invited to login to the Creator Portal to claim any works in print format published between 2005 and 2024 for which you retain copyright that are not currently included on your Payback claim. You can also visit the Creator Portal to see your current Payback claim data and to also download a Change Form to request any adjustments to it.
