Payback for Writers and Payback for Visual Artists
Update (November 28)
The good news is that we issued the annual Payment payment to creator affiliates on November 14, the bad news is that our financial institution has alerted us to a glitch in their system that has caused some issued cheques to be denied when cashed.
It appears that this problem is isolated to a very small percentage of the cheques issued for the Payback distribution but we are awaiting more details from our bank, which is working hard to fix this problem as soon as possible. If you are among the individuals affected, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will reimburse you for any banking fees you have incurred as well as re-issue your cheque to you.
Thanks for your patience. We will post an update as soon as we have more information.
Access Copyright distributed this year’s Payback payment to our creator affiliates the week of November 11.
This year’s payment included a base portion of $64.50 and a supplementary portion if you have made a Payback claim in the past based on the type and amount of work you have reported.
How to access your distribution report

How to access your report: After logging into the portal, you’ll see your distribution letter and report on the left side of your screen. The distribution report uses the same format as the reports Access Copyright has sent to you in the past. We hope online reporting will provide your distribution details to you more efficiently. For Safari users: you will need to perform one extra step to access your distribution report. After downloading it, you will notice it will appear as a text file. Please find the report file in your Download folder and remove the ".txt" of the file name in order to access your PDF copy of your report.
