Government-funded adult language learning centre programs rely on published content to support instruction, discussion, and skill development. The materials educators choose and share often reflect what learners find meaningful, relevant, and engaging.

Access Copyright provides licences for adult language learning centres that make it easier to copy, adapt, and share published works while ensuring content use aligns with copyright requirements.

A licence from Access Copyright helps educators at adult language learning centres:

  • Support classroom instruction and group discussion
  • Enhance language learning and literacy programs
  • Share readings through handouts or digital platforms
  • Build customized learning resources

With a single licence, educators and administrators can focus on teaching and learning rather than copyright administration.

Adult Language Learning Centre Licence

Access Copyright’s adult language learning centre licence is designed for government-funded adult language learning centres.

Under the terms of the licence, educators have pre-cleared permission to copy up to 10% of an individual title (or 15% for coursepack copying) from Access Copyright’s repertoire, in order to:

  • Copy and share excerpts from books, magazines, journals, and newspapers
  • Use content across print and digital learning environments
  • Share readings with students to support language acquisition and engagement

This licence provides access to a broad repertoire of published works while ensuring creators and publishers are fairly compensated.

Currently an adult language learning centre licensee with only print-copying coverage? Consider upgrading your licence to include digital uses of works in Access Copyright’s repertoire. Contact us to learn more.
