Access Copyright Sponsorship Fund
Access Copyright’s Sponsorship Fund has been eliminated, and will be replaced with the Access Copyright Foundation Cultural Fund. Applications for the Access Copyright Foundation’s Cultural Fund are now being accepted for the Events Grant program portion of the fund.
The Event Grants segment of the Cultural Fund aims to advance the development and promotion of Canada’s literary and visual arts communities. It will provide grants for special events, programs and conferences that provide awareness or education, or showcase Canadian creativity, in either visual or literary arts. Events that would be eligible for possible funding would aim to educate and advance the public’s appreciation of Canadian literary and artistic culture, and educate writers and visual artists through participation in these events.
This new program represents an exciting new chapter in the organization’s commitment to promote Canadian culture by reinvesting back into the Canadian cultural community. The cultural fund will also soon include funding for professional development and research projects.
The deadline to apply for the Event Grants is September 24, 2010.
