Access Copyright

Educational Licences: University or Community Colleges

Content is critical to learning, and Access Copyright's photocopying licence for universities and community colleges simplifies access to that content so that educators can spend their time teaching, not seeking copyright permissions. The licence covers you where fair dealing, exceptions under the Copyright Act, and the public domain do not.

The licence has three components: The first component provides advance permission for day-to-day copying by instructors, students and administrators, the second allows for the production of coursepacks, and the third component permits document delivery copying.

Coursepack copying is paid for based on the number of pages copied and the number of copies of the coursepack produced. To make tracking this information easier, Access Copyright has created the eLog, a user-friendly spreadsheet that will automatically calculate the royalties payable.
