Protecting the Rights of Access Copyright Affiliates

Canada's Copyright Act prohibits many unauthorized reproductions of copyright protected works. However, locating rightsholders can often be difficult for potential users.

When authorized to do so, Access Copyright represents our affiliates in the administration of their reproduction rights, and can help prevent or stop illegal copying.

Access Copyright will ensure your voice is heard on important issues that affect your livelihood, such as copyright reform legislation. You'll be kept informed about copyright issues through Access Copyright's various publications and educational sessions.

If you believe your copyright has been infringed

In certain circumstances, Access Copyright can investigate and take action on behalf of copyright owners. If you believe you or someone else's copyright has been infringed, Access Copyright can investigate your complaint. If you believe print rights have been infringed, please use our print compliance complaint form. If you believe digital rights have been infringed, please use our digital compliance complaint form. You can also email us with any information.
