Cathy Marie Buchanan wins the 2014 Forest of Reading® Evergreen Award

Access Copyright affiliate Cathy Marie Buchanan had some great news to end her week.
The Ontario Library Association (OLA) announced Friday, Nov. 7 that Buchanan would be the winner of this year’s Forest of Reading® EvergreenTM Award for her book The Painted Girls (HarperCollins Canada).
Buchanan’s book was selected during an Ontario-wide vote in participating public libraries during Ontario Public Library Week in mid-October.
The Evergreen is one of eight programs run by the OLA as part of its Forest of Reading program which targets students from junior kindergarten up to grade 12. Buchanan will receive the Evergreen at the OLA’s Super Conference on January 29, 2015 in Toronto.
