Access Copyright expands representation around Board table to include content users

Access Copyright’s Board of Directors, which has its inaugural meeting in June, is unlike of any of its predecessors.

For the first time, our members have reached outside the creator and publisher communities to elect directors from the education and technology sectors.

Following their election at the Access Copyright AGM this spring, two academic librarians, a leader in public K-12 education, and a technology and innovation CEO became the first slate of directors chosen through a new governance process to join a restructured, 11-member board.

Quill & Quire recently wrote about our organization’s renewed commitment to meeting the needs of content users—particularly those in education, including our newly elected directors as well as details on the pilot projects we are running with post-secondary institutions across Canada.
